We have developed a Cutting Edge Environmental Technology that employs the Laws of Physics, to affect the chemistry of water and other fluids in such a way, that dissolved solids in these fluids, change from a dissolved state and go into suspension. The technology removes all existing scale, rust and other contaminants that build-up in pipelines, heat exchangers, cooling towers, and all other equipments that use water, oil or gas. The applications are absolutely “NON INVASIVE” therefore the pipelines do not require additional plumbing. Our systems require absolutely no maintenance or power source once installed. The life span of the equipment is unknown but, if not destroyed physically, it will last for a very long time (16 years proven so far).

Our Fuel Enhancing MHD Series are used on diesel, petrol, gas and other fuels, to improve their efficiency and to reduce emissions, thereby making our products very environmentally friendly.

We also specialize in making drinking water from almost any source, be it ground water, rivers, rainwater, ponds, lakes or the sea. We also design and fabricate modular units that can produce from 1,000 gallons to over 1,000,000 gallons of drinking water per day. We can also use solar energy where conventional electric energy is not available to operate pumps. We increase the efficiency of industrial waste water, recycle it and help to reduce the affluent that is normally deposited into our streams and aquifers, thereby contaminating them.

The company has developed several commercial, domestic, portable as well as permanent, WATER TREATMENT AND CONDITIONING SYSTEMS. In conjunction with other engineering protocols, the technology has been developed utilizing various proprietary design arrays, of very powerful permanent magnets that are installed in the ECOBEAM XL Series of MHD Systems.

The ECOBEAM-XL SERIES of MHD Systems are hermetically sealed, powerful, permanent magnetic units, positioned in a proprietary arrangement to produce a CONCENTRATED BEAM of High Gauss Magnetic Flux.

Normally, in a Magnetic Arrangement, the Magnetic lines of Flux travel in an elliptical path from North to South on the Outside of the Magnet. Consequently, the Maximum Strength is at the North and South Poles of the Magnet. The Magnetic Lines of Flux have very little effective strength. However, in the ECOBEAM XL Series of MHD Systems, the lines of Magnetic Flux have been forced to converge into a Magnetic Beam. The Systems and their operation have been developed after carrying out intensive study, research and development, by the inventor.

The “Magneto-Hydro-Dynamics Water Treatment and Conditioning System” had been used in the USSR and Europe using “INLINE” Electro Magnets, for more than 50 years in a very limited capacity. Their efficacy was hardly recognized owing to the absence of certified literature and the non-belief in an Unproven Technology. But in 1984, the United States, because of strong ecological demands, pulled far ahead in this field by undertaking studies and experimentation, utilizing Ceramics and other Rare Earth Materials, to increase the power of Permanent Magnets to levels never before reached.

In 1945, Theo Vermeiren, patented a Magnetic Water Conditioner in Belgium, utilizing discoveries based on Faraday’s Laws of Motion.  In 1957, Vermeiren delivered a report to the Belgian Center of Corrosion Studies and the Belgian Royal Society of Engineers in Brussels, detailing his 12 years of research and remarkably successful experiences with Magnetic Water Conditioners:

They removed scale and corrosion from water heaters, boilers, cooling towers, and water pipes used for fresh or seawater; they killed algae, and all forms of anaerobic bacteria in the water; and while not a “water softener,” per say; they seemed to “soften” the water, physically, not chemically, possibly due to “the resultant colloidal state of the micro crystals of calcium, magnesium and stearates.”

Magnetism is now widely used in a very vide variety of Medical applications ranging from laser therapy to CAT SCAN to unclogging of arteries. Other techniques include the application of Magnetism to enhancing health care without resorting to invasive surgery.

High Speed trains now use magnetism to levitate their wheels from the tracks, providing a more comfortable, safer and faster ride.

Newer Television and Computer equipment employ magnetism to increase picture clarity. All hard discs in Computers are an example.

Magnetism is also used on boilers, heat exchangers, cooling towers and all water related industry and equipments to de-scale and prevent future scaling – This de-scaling has never been satisfactory and costs over a $100 billion to industry in recurring expenses. The expenses increase exponentially every year, while maintenance increases, the equipment steadily degrades and other environmental hazards increase.

Today more than two million MHD systems have been sold world-wide for residential, commercial, industrial, governmental and municipal use, on boilers, heat exchangers, cooling towers, laundries, irrigation systems, golf courses, photo labs, aquariums, swimming pools, spas, fountains, Koi and other fish ponds, man-made lakes, health clubs, hotels, private homes, farms, nurseries, oil wells, injection wells, power stations, refineries, factories, bottling plants, etc.

The primary product of ECOTECH is technically called the ECOBEAM XL SERIES OF MHD PRODUCTS.

The ECOBEAM XL SERIES OF MHD PRODUCTS, works on the Principles of Physics, whereby Ultrasonic Frequencies created through Electrostatic Resonance Charges, Induced by Variable Magnetic Fields, produce Ion Changes in Water Chemistry.

By installing the ECOBEAM XL Systems on the outside of a pipe which carries a conductive flow, a force is created through the walls of the pipe, through the existing scale build up within the pipes, that acts on the moving charged particles in the fluid, to separate the negatively and positively charged particles, polarizing them.

For particle separation to occur, among other requirements, the velocities of fluids should not be less than .5 fps or greater than 20 fps.  The kinetic energy of the water is an essential element of this phenomenon.

The Magnetism used to manufacture the systems is of a patented design.  High Gauss magnets, of various magnetic levels, are used in the production of each ECOBEAM XL module.

The high levels of induction and variance of each ECOBEAM XL module, create high ultrasonic frequencies, which in turn produce ion exchange in water and fluids.

During the ion exchange process, scale-forming chemicals such as calcium carbonate, magnesium, iron hydroxide and iron oxide, lose their “Zeta Potential Bond” and are released as a colloidal suspension in the flow stream.

During the physical ion exchange process a hydrogen atom is released from the water molecule (H2O becomes HO) and this hydrogen atom plates out on the adjacent surfaces of the pipes and the equipments.

In addition, as the hydrogen atom is separated from the flowing water, there is an imbalance in the dissolved oxygen in the water.  This imbalance of the oxygen helps to kill the anaerobic algae, the anaerobic bacteria and to oxidize foul odors.

APPLICATION OF THE ECOBEAM XL SERIES

The ECOBEAM XL is produced through a combination of powerful permanent magnetic units, made from rare earth, metallic, trivalent elements.  An array of units, from two on up, depending on the outer diameter of the pipe and other protocols, is applied to the pipes carrying water or other fluids – utilizing technology based on THE SCIENCE OF MAGNETO HYDRO-DYNAMICS.  This magnetic water/ fluids conditioning, without the use of chemicals or any form of energy, is effective in preventing scale, rust and corrosion, while effectively removing the same from pipes and equipments. The Focused Magnetic Flux, follows Laws of Physics that  will realign the molecular flow of fluids in circulating and flowing water/fluids systems, combustion engines, oil well production and piping.

Circulating Water Systems.  (Cooling Towers, Boilers, Heat Exchangers, Chillers and Evaporative Condensers, as well as Main Water Lines), the ECOBEAM XL has the ability to remove scale, rust and corrosion buildup.  Once the sludge is removed, the ECOBEAM XL will inhibit the reformation of the same, keeping the pipes clean and free flowing.  Economic advantages are countless, as are compliance’s to the ever-changing strict rules and regulations being issued by the Environmental Protection Agency.

Combination Engine

The application of the ECOBEAM XL F1 (Fuel Enhancer Unit) on the fuel line of the internal combustion engine improves combustion. It causes the realignment of the molecular flow of fuel, resulting in a better ratio of fuel/air mixture.  The results are reduced fuel consumption, cleaner emissions, cleaner spark plugs and fuel injectors. Different engines using different fuels, determine the applications of the ECOBEAM XL F1 MHD Systems at different locations.

REFINERIES

Oil industry

This is a very interesting subject for the application of the ECOBEAM XL SERIES. However, it is impossible to address even a miniscule part of it in this paper. Consequently, the applications of the ECOBEAM XL SERIES are discussed in very rudimentary terms here. Detailed applications will be addressed at each individual site.  Oil is drilled from deep within the earth. Oil does not come to the surface as a finished product. It comes up as a mixture of crude, water, slush and all kinds of earth sand and stones. There are several problems along the way that the ECOBEAM XL SERIES can assist with.

First, at the point of drilling, deep under the ground, Water Cooled Hydraulic Brakes are used.  Water is pumped at high pressure down thousands of feet underground to the Hydraulic Braking System. This is a continuous process requiring thousands of gallons of re-circulating water. Since at the Hydraulic Braking Assembly, there is a great amount of Heat Exchange, the inevitable scale build up occurs, both in the pipelines and at the Hydraulic Braking Heat Exchange Apparatus. This causes the heat exchange to become inefficient and thus, ever so often, the whole system has to be shut down for physical cleaning and maintenance. This is not only loss in Revenue, but also maintenance intensive. The application of Strategically installed ECOBEAM XL SYSTEMS, can greatly enhance the efficient operating of the Drilling equipment and depending on the condition of the fresh water, can either completely eradicate the problem, or at least bring it to controllable levels. The application of the ECOBEAM XL SYSTEMS is finalized after evaluating each individual situation.

After the crude oil has been pumped up out of the ground, it is then piped to locations where it can be stored before being processed. The 'crude oil' is hot when it leaves the ground, but rapidly cools as it migrates through the pipelines to the storage tanks. The moisture in the 'crude' mixes with the accompanying sludge and plates out inside the pipes like hard scale. Inside the 'Crude Oil,' paraffin tends to cool much more rapidly and then begins to plate out inside the pipelines too. This combined scale formation and the plating out of the paraffin, rapidly constricts the inner diameter of the pipelines. This causes many problems and requires constant maintenance.

The application of the ECOBEAM XL SERIES of our MHD SYSTEMS, will enhance the efficient flow of the crude and completely eliminate, or greatly reduce, the buildup of scale and constrictions in the pipelines. When oil or 'crude oil' has to be transported over long distances, the biggest problem facing the oil companies is the unmitigated deposits of scale and paraffin on the inside of the pipelines. The strategic application of the ECOBEAM XL SYSTEMS along the pipelines inhibits the buildup of the same. In most cases, the existing buildup is eventually removed, all without the use of extra maintenance, chemicals or energy. This leads to enhanced efficiency and tremendous financial benefits.

Oil Refinery

Heat Pumps and Water Cooled Compressors:

Water-Cooled Heat Pumps, Engines and Compressors are subject to rapid scaling, owing to the constant flow of fresh water and the intense heat exchange. In addition to regular Chemical Treatment, every 6-8 weeks a pitter must be used to remove the hard ceramic-like scale that has accumulated within the pipes as well as in the body jacket of the engines. This buildup of scale directly affects the flow of the cooling water, and as the build up increases, the 'Heat Transfer' from the engine to the Cooling System also reduces, thereby affecting the temperature of the Engines and the Heat pumps. This factor alone is a major concern for water-cooled Engines on Boats and Ships and Water Cooled Compressors.

Within a few weeks, following the installation of the ECOBEAM XL System on the water lines of the equipment, the scale turns into a powder-like wet sludge substance, which is easily removed at the 'Blow Down' or 'Bleed Off Point'. Eventually, the water jacket will be freed of accumulated residue and will remain clean, as long as the ECOBEAM XL SYSTEMS remain installed. There is no requirement for the use of Chemicals at this point. However, as with every application, an ECOTECH trained person must evaluate each situation on its own merits, before actual installation.

Heat Exchangers:

Scale accumulates inside the shell of the water tubes, reducing the flow of water so essential to the transfer of heat from one fluid to anther. 0ver time, the inner diameter of the tubes reduces and in most cases, completely blocks up. This seriously degrades the Heat Exchange Mechanism and affects the entire apparatus the heat exchanger is designed to serve.  The effected systems then have to be shut down for intensive maintenance. A core drill or high-pressure water jets, along with chemicals are needed to clean the tubes.

Following core drilling, and after the heat exchanger is on line, the ECOBEAM XL System should be installed on the fresh water input lines.  Owing to the action of the ECOBEAM XL, all tubes will remain open and new scale will be prevented from forming.  In cases where minor scaling has already begun, the ECOBEAM XL System will gradually clean out the scale that has already deposited and will prevent new scale from depositing.  However, it will not clean out tubes that are so badly clogged, that water cannot flow through them. The flow of the water across the BEAMED Magnetic Flux is essential.

Sour Water Lines:

The mixture of oil and water builds scale and paraffin in the pipes.  The ECOBEAM XL SYSTEM will place the paraffin into suspension, remove scale buildup, and prevent calcites and rust from adhering to the pipes.  Depending on the chemical composition of the migrating water, additional softeners may not be required.  The ECOBEAM XL SYSTEM reduces and may eventually even eliminate the need for chemicals.  (This depends on a number of external factors, which can be addressed on an individual basis,)

Water Scrubbers:

Water used to “wet scrub” solids in exhaust stacks, often leaves scale buildup inside the pipelines and on the blades of the fans used to pull the water through the scrubber.  The ECOBEAM XL treatment of water aids the scrubbing action. The treated water also inhibits scale buildup in the pipes, on fan blades and housings, assists in enhancing the whole system and improves overall performance.

Cracking Towers:

Fuel for the cracking tower is a combination of crude oil and natural gas.  Since water is part of the fluid flowing into the tower, scale will form. Crude oil input at various temperatures will form paraffin.  The ECOBEAM XL SYSTEM will alleviate existing scale and then prevent it from reforming.  Prior detailed inspection of each site is required, before a plan can be implemented to treat problem areas.

Cooling Towers: 

This is perhaps the single most ignored area in the seriousness of water treatment. Cooling Towers are used in ALL applications of water or fluid based Heat Exchange systems. Industries that value in the Trillions of Dollars, regard the Heating and Cooling Systems as just another function of their overall operations. What Senior Management has seldom thought about is the crucial role of the Cooling Towers.

It is generally felt that, with the delegation of authority to the Facilities Branch of the Establishment, the Systems will run perfectly. Since the Facilities are not the most “Cosmetic” of places, attention is seldom paid to their problems. It is therefore to the credit of the Director of Facilities and His/ Her staff, that even under the most trying conditions; they manage to keep the Systems up and running.

However, problems ignored are not problems solved. They will ultimately lead to major repairs or replacements, which are not only expensive, but cause the establishments to impose “Shut Downs.” This is a great loss in terms of revenue, because, while production stops, salaries and other expenditures still have to be met.   It is amazing to note that, while continuous treatment of the process water is done with Chemicals, problems still arise and systems have to be shut down. If the continuous Chemical Treatment of Water does not solve a problem, is it not logical to look at better alternatives?

The sad truth is that while in every avenue of life, Science has made astounding advances, in the case of water treatment; in the FACILITIES DEPARTMENT, the establishment has resigned itself to the “Status Quo.” This is causing the water to remain contaminated, with more and more chemicals added every day, making an already bad situation, worse.

Cooling Towers must be treated both at the Cooling Tower and at the Condenser side of the Chillers. The final determination is made after the physical inspection of each Cooling Tower and the affiliated data. But in all cases, it is imperative to treat both the re-circulating water as well as the fresh makeup water lines with the ECOBEAM XL SYSTEM.  Depending on the condition of the source water, these applications will reduce and may eventually stop all need for chemicals.  After 2-3 weeks, a sharp increase in TDS (totally dissolved solids) is to be expected, due to the cleaning action of the pipes and the condenser by the ECOBEAM XL System. However, in according with the manufacturers recommendations on maintenance, the Cooling Towers must be cleaned and drained so as to remove solids from the sumps. If this is not done as recommended, migrating debris will go back into the condenser where the water turbulence and heat exchange is at its highest and cause serious problems there. In most cases allow 90 to 120 days for total cleaning with the application of the ECOBEAM XL MHD systems installed.
